Duke head coach David Cutcliffe and his coaching staff are rolling on the recruiting trail. Just days after securing a commitment from 2013 safety Jake Kite, Duke added another defensive back from the class of 2013 Monday night when Dequavais Mann, a 5-foot-9 185 pound cornerback, committed to the Blue Devil coaching staff.
Mann received a scholarship offer from the coaching staff on while on his unofficial visit to Duke over the weekend for the spring game.
The Rocky Mount, North Carolina product is a dynamic athlete that runs the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds according to rivals.com. Mann also has the ability to return punts and kicks.
Prior to his commitment to the Blue Devils, Mann was drawing interest from Clemson, Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech, among others.
Along with Evrett Edwards, the Blue Devils now have two cornerbacks in the recruiting class and five verbal commitments total.
