Kelly to miss ACC tournament

Junior Ryan Kelly will miss the ACC tournament after spraining his right foot during practice Tuesday, the team announced today.

According to GoDuke.com, Kelly will be re-evaluated on Monday. The tournament championship concludes Sunday at 1 p.m. with the NCAA selection show later in the day.

Kelly, the MVP of this year's Maui Invitational, is third on Duke in scoring this season with 11.8 points per game. The 6-foot-11 forward is averaging 1.3 3-pointers per game on 40.8-percent shooting from beyond the arc to supplement his 5.4 rebounds per contest.

The Blue Devils are dealing with depth issues at the forward position after Josh Hairston was sidelined against Wake Forest last week after suffering a head injury against Virginia Tech. He played just one minute in the 88-70 loss to North Carolina after being limited in practice leading up to that game due to the injury.
