Duke sophomore guard Chelsea Gray is one of 20 players named to the United States Basketball Writers Association midseason player of the year watch list, the organization announced today.
Gray is averaging 11.0 points—making 38.9 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc—6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game. She also sports a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Notre Dame leads the nation with three players selected to the watch list—Skylar Diggins, Natalie Novosel and Devereaux Peters. Baylor, Connecticut, Miami, Ohio State and Stanford each had two players selected.
The award will be given Apr. 3 at the USBWA’s Women’s College Basketball Awards Breakfast in Denver.
