Duke battling for Atlantis next year

This year's Blue Devils had the pleasure of spending their Thanksgiving weekend in the warm weathers of Hawaii for the Maui Invitational, which they won for the fifth time this week. Although they aren't returning to Maui next year, they'll have no shortage of warm weather when they head to the Paradise Islands, Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Next year's eight-team field will be highly competitive, led by Duke, Memphis, Louisville and Stanford. Missouri, Minnesota, Northern Iowa and Virginia Commonwealth fill out the rest of the field. Stanford is coached by former Blue Devil player and assistant coach Johnny Dawkins.

Another former Duke player and assistant led his team to the first inaugural Battle for Atlantis title this year, as Tommy Amaker's Harvard Crimson won out. In order to do so, they had to upset No. 20 Florida State in the semifinals and then beat Central Florida in the championship game.
