Duke incoming freshman Elizabeth Williams' 15 points helped the United States dominate Italy today 94-60 at the 2011 U19 FIBA World Championships in Puerto Montt, Chile.
Williams' scoring outburst came in just 17 minutes of play on 6-for-8 shooting, and marked the most points the 6-foot-4 center had scored thus far in the tournament.
Tennessee commit Cierra Burdick led the United States in scoring with 17 points, followed by Breanna Stewart, Williams and Stefanie Dolson with 15, 15 and 14, respectively.
The Italians were outrebounded 43-19 in the contest and shot just 39 percent from the floor, compared to 55 percent shooting by the Americans.
The United States will finish play in Group E by facing off against Canada tomorrow at 1:30 EST. The Canadians are the only other undefeated team in the group after moving to 5-0 with a win over Japan earlier today.
