Blue Devil recruit Elizabeth Williams scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in eleven minutes off the bench in the United States' 85-63 victory over Japan at the U19 World Championship in Puerto Montt, Chile.
Williams, ESPN Hoopgurlz No. 2-ranked recruit in the Class of 2011, scored four of her points on a second quarter run that helped put the United States up by twenty, 45-25, at halftime.
Bria Hartley led the United States with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting, followed closely by Stefanie Dolson and Breanna Stewart with 13 apiece.
The United States will continue group play tomorrow at 1:30 EST against Russia. Russia opened on Thursday with a 70-51 victory over Argentina.
