Elizabeth Williams recorded five points and five rebounds in 17 minutes of play as the United States smashed Argentina 83-49 earlier today to finish undefeated in the first round of group play.
The Americans were led on offense by Breanna Stewart and Diamond DeShields for the second straight game, who scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Argentina struggled to overcome the United States' interior defense, shooting just 27.1 percent from the floor and finishing outrebounded 55-29.
The United States will face off with Canada, Italy and the winner of this afternoon's China-Egypt game in the second round of group play. The results from the second group stage will be combined with the first to determine seeding in the quarterfinals.
The Americans' next game takes place Monday against either China or Egypt.
