As the NBA Draft approaches, former Blue Devils Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler aren't only looking toward their own futures, but towards their former teammates' as well.
The takeaway message from both after a workout with the Boston Celtics? Keep an eye on Tyler Thornton.
"He’s solid,” Smith told CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman. "He’s a tough, tough kid. I told Quinn (Cook) that he’s not going to go in and take Tyler’s spot.”
Singler agreed that Thornton would likely be running the Duke offense this coming season, over top recruits Cook and Austin Rivers, based on his defensive prowess and toughness.
"He’s not going to make many mistakes,” Smith said of Thornton. "He’s real smart.”
