Former Blue Devil Trajan Langdon announced his retirement from basketball over the weekend after nine successful seasons in the Euroleague, the last six with CSKA Moscow.
Langdon led CSKA Moscow to two Euroleague championships and three runner-up finishes, as well as nine consecutive Russian League crowns. Langdon retires sixth all-time in Euroleague scoring and steals.
"Eight out of my nine years in Europe, I have been able to end the season with a win, which means that I've been a champion, and in each of my six years here at CSKA, I have been able to end my season with a win, so being able to do so to end my career is very special," Langdon said in an interview with CSKA's website. "It's been an incredible run here, my six years here with CSKA, and something I will never forget."
Langdon's career in Durham was highlighted by setting the school record for most career 3-point field goals made, a record which was later broken by J.J. Redick, earning him the moniker "The Alaskan Assassin" from the Cameron Crazies.
