Our Name Change

You may notice a new banner at the top of the page. We've undergone a name change—welcome to The Blue Zone.

Duke fans hopefully will recognize in the name our mission to present as much content as possible concerning Duke athletics. (Students and alumni may also notice the reference to a certain outlawed Saturday tradition.) While the vast majority of stories on the blog will still be Duke basketball and football related, we felt the banner at the top should accurately reflect all of Duke's teams. So every time you load the page, you'll be greeted by a new picture of a different Blue Devil in action. It's our eye-catching way of telling you what we're all about.

On a larger note, the name change to the blog is just a small step in sweeping changes that are coming to Chronicle sports' online presence. In addition to our continuous attempt to post news as quickly and accurately as possible both on the main sports site and this blog, we have recently created a men's basketball topic page and have revitalized the Twitter account @dukebasketball. That's all just the beginning, though. The design of The Blue Zone will soon be upgraded, as will the main sports site. Other changes may soon be in store, too.

But until then, keep checking in as we continue to post interesting and news-worthy content from the world of Duke sports. Thanks, as always, for reading!
