The saga of Kyrie Irving's right big toe continues. Last night, head coach Mike Krzyzewski announced that a scan will be performed on the toe either Tuesday or Wednesday. His status is still uncertain.
“As long as no surgery is needed, or it appears that it might not be needed, we’re going with this action,” Krzyzewski said.
Krzyzewski also said that Irving had a new cast put on his foot yesterday.
Last night, Fox Sports Net showed a close-up of Irving wiggling his toe, leading many Duke fans to think they were seeing increased movement of the right big toe for the first time.
That was the non-injured toe, though, according to the official @dukeblueplanet Twitter feed.
