“Out of the Bag—WikiLeaks and U.S. Diplomacy” panel discussion Dec. 7

By now, almost everyone has heard about WikiLeaks, the recent release of over 250,000 secret diplomatic documents. But what does this mean? Will diplomacy be changed forever, or is this merely a little bad publicity?

This Tuesday, Dec. 7. four panelists will discuss the impact of this event on United States’ diplomacy, the role of media in sharing diplomatic cables and the intricate balance between the need for knowledge and the need for transparency.

“Out of the Bag—WikiLeaks and U.S. Diplomacy” will be held at noon in Room 153 of Rubenstein Hall at the Sanford School of Public Policy.

The panel is comprised of experts ranging from a former editor of the Washington Post to Duke University's Diplomat in Residence.
