Duke's offense has been explosive during so far this season—and the statistics certainly agree.
After two weeks of play, receiver Conner Vernon and quarterback Sean Renfree each find themselves amongst the NCAA's leaders in their respective statistical categories. Vernon currently leads the FBS with 310 yards receiving, more than 20 yards better than his nearest competitor. Vernon's 18 receptions also place him fourth in the nation in that category.
The guy throwing Vernon the ball also finds himself amongst the nation's best. Renfree is currently third in the nation with 708 passing yards. Duke's quarterback is also in the top 15 in that nation in completion percentage, total completions, and touchdowns.
Vernon and Renfree's spot amongst the nation's best could be precarious, though, as they face a much sterner test this weekend in the form of No. 1 Alabama.
