UPDATE (5:34 p.m., Thursday): According to Dean of Students Sue Wasiolek, tickets were still available for purchase by students today and may be available tomorrow, as well.
If Duke makes it to the Final Four in Indianapolis, there may be a few empty seats in the stands.
That's because, at a lottery earlier tonight, approximately 550 students signed up for the 660 possible tickets provided by the NCAA to Final Four teams, meaning all those students will receive tickets without the lottery system being implemented, Dean of Students Sue Wasiolek said. The remaining 110 tickets will either be sold to other fans (ie non-students) or returned to the NCAA.
For $25 a ticket, students get access to all three games during the Final Four weekend. However, if Duke does not make the Final Four students will not be charged and will not receive those tickets.
