Roscoe Smith, ranked 31st in the 2010 recruitment class, has verbally committed to the University of Connecticut. Over the past couple weeks, Smith had been deciding between UConn, Georgetown and Duke.
The six-foot-seven small forward visited Duke in October and was seriously considering joining the Blue Devils' 2010-2011 squad, but instead opted for Jim Calhoun's Huskies.
"Me and my family, we just talked about and decided that UConn would be the best choice for me, because of the style of play and the history of players that came through UConn and went to the next level," Smith said.
Duke's 2010 recruiting class is already full of talent with Kyrie Irving, Tyler Thornton, and Joshua Hairston already committed.
