Sunday night had been designated a celebration of the 70-year history of Cameron Indoor Stadium; in running out to a 74-53, the Blue Devils provided on-court entertainment that made for a pretty good party.
Amidst the crowd was former head coach Vic Bubas, who led the program to new heights in the 1960's. After the game, Krzyzewski acknowledged the coach and praised the legacy that he left behind:
"It’s especially nice with so many of our former players back to be honored and to have coach [Vic] Bubas here. He was writing down something so I wonder if he was rating me. If he was I’ll take all the advice he has because he’s one of the great coaches."
