Duke basketball isn't the only campus program to recently suffer a big recruiting loss.
Four-star linebacker Aramide Olaniyan, who initially made a verbal commitment to play for Duke in March but re-opened his recruiting in late September, has decided to commit to UCLA according to the Los Angeles Times and Scout.com. The 6-foot-2, 200 lb. Olaniyan was Duke's highest rated commit until December and is ranked as the ninth-best outside linebacker in the nation by Scout.com. Olaniyan paid an official visit to UCLA on Nov. 7 for the Bruins' home contest against Washington and subsequently made the decision to commit.
Olaniyan's defection leaves three-star offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson as the Blue Devils' highest-rated commitment for the class of 2010.
