Dos Perros: Cocktails

Whether you’re looking for something sweet, sour or a little bit spicy in your cocktail, the selection at Durham’s brand new Dos Perros has you covered. Although the menu boasts several concoctions on the pricier side at $13 a pop, for a more modest $9 per drink, one can sample a slew of indigenous infusions. The selection ranges from a rum-spiked “La Leche” Horchata to a “Passionfruit Caipirinha,” the national cocktail of Brazil and a sumptuously sour refresher.

For those wishing to awaken their inner “female canine,” sample a “La Perra Nikki,” made with sweet grapefruit, vodka and guyabana. And if you’re in the mood to mellow out, try a “Cheech and Chong,” a subtle blend of gin, lemongrass and tomatillos. Most popular on the menu, however—and rightfully so—is the Mango Cayenne Margharita, a perfect balance of fruit and tequila sparked by a surprise kick of cayenne to keep your senses awake for round two. Salud, of-age Amigos.
