The U.S. Women's Open concluded play yesterday, with Anna Grzebien finishing as the only Duke alum in the top 35. Grzebien shot a 73 on Sunday, birdieing holes eight, eleven, and thirteen en route to a tie for 17th finish. The 2007 graduate shot one of only seven rounds under par on Saturday--a 69 that put her in contention.
Her fellow Blue Devils did not fare as well in the tournament won by Eun-Hee Ji. Two-time All-American Brittany Lang shot 73-74 to finish at 12-over, tied for 40th. Amanda Blumenherst also went 73-74 to finish tied for 52nd. And Jennie Lee shot 78-75 to end up in 69th place.
