(Via Scan) Indy Week's Scan blog has news on the new Red Collar and Hammer No More the Fingers release shows. We already knew about HNMTF's release show at the Coffeehouse April 4, Red Collar's was news to us. Red Collar will play the Triangle Brewing Co. March 14 at 7:30 p.m. with the Dry Heathens and the Bone Royals. For $10, attendees will get to see the outdoor show and get a copy of the band's new release, Pilgrim.
What's especially exciting though, is the situation surrounding HNMTF's release party. The show and their new album, Looking for Bruce, will cost $10. The April 4 show will also feature the Dry Heathens, Deleted Scenes, the Future Kings of Nowhere and the Beast. But it's more than a one night release party. To celebrate Looking for Bruce, the Triangle Brewing Co. is sponsoring Viking Storm. A two-night festival, it is described as "A weekend of mayhem, merriment and mirth, to celebrate the release of the new Hammer No More The Fingers album, Looking For Bruce!" Night one (April 3 - $5 at the Pinhook) features Tooth, the Bronzed Chorus, Caverns and Pink Flag. Night two is the Coffeehouse show which will also having TBC's specially brewed Viking Storm Ale.
