Wake Forest has beaten Duke 13 straight times, but the Blue Devils have a chance to end that streak this weekend-and given the way they are playing lately, it might take more than the ACC's last-place team to slow them down.
The Demon Deacons (11-10, 1-8 in the ACC) come to Jack Coombs Field for a three-game series against the surging Blue Devils (16-7, 5-4), starting Friday at 7 p.m.
Duke's last win over Wake Forest came in 2004, when the Blue Devils swept the Demon Deacons in three games. Now, Duke has won six of seven and has taken 2-of-3 ACC series, and could improve that mark against the league's cellar-dweller. The Blue Devils even received votes in the national polls this week.
