After starting the season with a 3-1 series win over LaSalle last weekend, the Blue Devils return to Jack Coombs Field this weekend for a series with Dartmouth-that is, if the weather allows the two teams to play.
Originally scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday, the Blue Devils (3-1) and Big Green (0-0) moved the twinbill to 3 p.m. Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. Saturday contest. If forecasts calling rain hold up Saturday, the teams will instead make up the game Sunday.
Duke's weekend rotation of Christopher Manno, Andrew Wolcott and Jonathan Foreman is expected to start the three games against the Ivy League school.
Senior catcher Matt Williams led the Blue Devils at the plate in their series win over the Explorers last weekend, notching eight hits. Junior Jeremy Gould followed with seven hits and a homer, while senior first baseman Nate Freiman socked two home runs and drove in seven runs. Junior Alex Hassan also contributed a home run and scored seven runs.
