Not only did Duke receive an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament Monday, but it learned it will return to Koskinen Stadium once more this year.
The Blue Devils will host UNC-Greensboro in a first-round matchup Saturday at 1 p.m. at home.
If they win, they would advance to play at ninth-seeded Loyola (Md.) next Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Duke started the season 6-5-1 and seemed to be on the NCAA tournament's bubble after making it for four straight seasons. The Blue Devils responded by ripping off four wins and a tie before dropping their last two games, including a loss in the ACC tournament.
The Blue Devils lost their last game in Koskinen to N.C. State, but now offer their seniors-including ACC Offensive Player of the Year Mike Grella-a chance to win in their last home game.
The Spartans beat Duke 1-0 in an August exhibition, but trudged to an 8-11-2 record in the Southern Conference.
