The troughs of Wallace Wade Stadium were scheduled to be replaced this year, but that plan was delayed. To compensate, Duke is "bringing in high-end portable toilets for women to use during football games," according to the N&O.
Chris Kennedy, Duke's associate athletic director, called these toilets "the gold standard." The bathrooms will be trailers spread throughout the stadium. A new scoreboard will also grace Wally Wade next year, and the bathroom facilities and concession stands will be finished for the 2009 season.
When first-year head coach David Cutcliffe first saw the concessions, he told Kennedy that the food stations looked like "roadside fruit stands."
