We were working on getting this confirmed this week, but it seems like ESPN's Andy Katz beat us to it. He talked to Georgetown head coach John Thompson III, who told him his Hoyas will travel to Cameron Indoor Stadium this upcoming season to resume a series with Duke. The series was not played this year because of a clause written in the contract.
When the two teams last played Dec. 2, 2006, the No. 11 Blue Devils topped Georgetown 61-52 in Cameron behind Greg Paulus' 13 second-half points, his best performance of the year to that point. After the game, head coach Mike Krzyzewski especially praised the atmosphere inside the arena. "It was just one of those good Saturday nights to be in here, and we were fortunate to win.... It was like an old-time game tonight."
We'll have more scheduling updates for you in the next week.
