McRoberts' Stampede Wins D-League Final

In the last three seasons, Josh McRoberts has played in the postseason twice for Duke and once for the Idaho Stampede of the NBA's D-League. Finally, he won a championship. On Friday night, McRoberts and the Stampede beat the Quin Snyder-coached Austin Toros 108-101 in Game 3 of the D-League Finals at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.

McRoberts scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds, and, as the press release says, ended a furious Austin run and clinched the championship with a season-defining alley-oop slam.

Said Randy Livingston, who retired after 12 seasons after the game: "I remember Jerome Bettis walked out a Super Bowl champion. Any championship is one you relish, one you savor."
