Renowned organist to regale chapel

Internationally-renowned organist Mary Preston will perform an organ recital at the Duke Chapel this Sunday as part of a year-long organ series at the Duke Chapel. Some of the featured pieces will include Sonata EroA_ca by Joseph Jongen, Crown Imperial (Coronation March) by Sir William Walton, Variations on America by Charles Ives and Chorale Prelude and Trio by J. A Dallas Symphony Orchestra member, Preston has performed nationally and internationally at places like the Minato Mirai Concert Hall in Yokohama, Japan, to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and Lichtenstein Palace in Prague. She has also played as a distinguished guest at conventions of the American Guild of Organists and records for the Gothic and Naxos labels-two leading classical music labels.

The recital will take place Sunday, Nov. 13, starting at 5 p.m. in the Duke Chapel. This is a free performance.
