Cillian Murphy

We already know he can play the villain. He almost scared the life out of Katie Holmes as the Scarecrow in Batman Begins and his stare kept us too afraid to leave our seats in the otherwide mediocre Red Eye. Now, Cillian Murphy puts his too-pretty-they're-frightening looks to full use in Breakfast on Pluto, donning a blond wig and eyeliner to play Patrick "Kitty" Brady a Irish orphan who stuggles with self-identity in the harsh climate of 1970s London. The film is written and directed by Neil Jordan, who as the writer of The Crying Game and director of Michael Collins is well-acquainted with the issues of sexual identity and the Irish landscape. Backed by fellow Irish thesp Liam Neeson, Breakfast is Murphy's first star turn since his breakout role in 28 Days Later. Can Murphy escape his villainous niche and become one of Hollywood's new leading (wo)men?
