He's anti-civil rights, pro-tobacco, anti-abortion, pro-bible. As Jesse now relinquishes his Congressional seat--which has no doubt molded to his contour since 1973--Recess couldn't help reflecting on some of his most memorable quotations of the last 30 years.
Helms on measurement: "If God had wanted us to use the metric system, Jesus would have had 10 apostles."
