With the renewed discussion about Internet file sharing, several artists in conjunction with the Recording Industry Association of America have released public service announcements requesting that music fans stop illegally downloading songs. Recess has obtained some outtakes from pop-princess Britney Spears and resident St. Lunatic Nelly's commercials. Here's what they said in the spots you won't see:
Britney: Hey, y'all. I was always told that there were certain things you just don't do: smoke, get breast enlargements, have premarital sex. Well, going online and stealin' music is the same thing. It's not just illegal, it's immoral. File sharing: Not for those who think young. Seriously, though, I'm, like, really involved in writing my own songs, and when you steal my music, you're like totally stealing my dreams.
Nelly: 'Good gracious/ Internet's bodacious/ Advantageous/ If you steal my sh-t, I'm gonna go Nutrageous.'
Yo, Dirty. It's getting hot in herre...full of hot music, Dirty. This is yo' dirty, Nelly, sayin' stop jackin' my music cause 'You won't find me/ Front my P.C./ Rippin' yo' MP3s/ Actin' like I know what I'm doing.... And it's all because/ 'Cumulated enough rap to mack the hoes out.' That's dirty, Dirty. E.I.!
