Oktoberfest * It's that time of year again. The leaves are changing, it's getting colder and basketball is only a week away. Help usher in the fall, as the annual October festival returns Friday on the main quad on West Campus. This year's Oktoberfest will feature food vendors, arts and crafts and music. There will also be two different carnival-style games and music entertainment including the steel drum band Sons of Steel. The festivities run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, and are open to the general public.

World Music Extravangaza * Global Rhythms World Music Ensemble and the Association for India's Development present an evening of international music. The show will feature percussion instruments from all over the world, Indian Classical Raagas arranged for the String Quartet, music from Egypt and Bosnia and Indian Classical Dance. All proceeds will go to support grassroots developmental projects in India. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. Page Auditorium. $12 for students, $15 for general public.
