Three good reasons to head back to campus early this coming fall: Dave Matthews, Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam. Hardee's Walnut Creek (pay attention freshmen-for the next four years, the Creek is the only place you'll see a band your parents have heard of) will play host to three consecutive days of musical bliss, beginning Saturday, Aug. 29.
Dave and Co., touring in support of their platinum-selling, fourth album Before These Crowded Streets, play two shows over the weekend. Tickets for both shows cost $27.50 and are currently on sale.
Pearl Jam might be the more intriguing act of the pair. This summer's big venue tour is the band's first since its abortive battle with Ticketmaster and frontman Eddie Vedder's infamous battle with food poisoning. Pearl Jam plays the Creek Monday, Aug. 31. The show is long since sold out, but the black market is bullish.
