On behalf of the University athletics department, I want to sincerely apologize to each Krzyzewskiville tenter who was not allowed entrance into Cameron Indoor Stadium last Saturday afternoon. I know all of the dedication and sacrifice each of you went through the previous month-and-a-half in anticipation of the UNC game and I feel bad for your misfortune.
Although we don't control the allocation process, and I know I cannot fully make up for your loss, I am going to do everything in my power to try. If the men's basketball team advances to Sunday's ACC Championship game, I have advised our ticket office to purchase all available tickets and we will invite all of the turned-away student tenters to the game. We will prioritize the ACC tickets to seniors first. Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Sue Wasiolek and her staff will coordinate the distribution of any tickets obtained and the president's office will provide free transportation to Greensboro.
If we are unsuccessful in buying extra tickets for the ACC Tournament, then we will begin the same process for the NCAA Tournament if Duke is in the East Regionals and playing in Greensboro.
This will all be predicated on receiving the list of students from the Duke Student Government line monitors so we can determine the students that suffered through the disappointment of missing the game.
I hope these plans work out and each of you can enjoy one more Duke basketball game in person this season.
Let's go Duke!

Athletic Director
