The men's basketball team held its annual awards banquet before a crowd of over 2,500 in Cameron Indoor Stadium Friday night.
Three-time All-America and Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year Grant Hill took home the Swett Baylin Award as the team's most valuable player. He was also named the top defensive player on the team.
Banners for Duke's 1994 Final Four appearance and Hill's retired No. 33 jersey were displayed on the stage along with music videos of the senior class which finished as the winningest class in school history with a 118-23 record for an 83.7 winning percentage.
Senior Marty Clark was named the winner of the Glenn E. "Ted" Mann, Jr. award given to the reserve contributing most to team morale, while fellow senior Antonio Lang was presented the Dr. Deryl Hart award going to the outstanding student-athlete.
Junior Cherokee Parks took home three awards for the best free throw percentage, best rebounding average and the True Blue Award for most charges taken.
