Christian Grose is the only candidate truly qualified for the position of vice president of academic affairs as shown through his extensive service to the Duke community.
On campus, there is an atmosphere of division between various groups: greeks versus independents. West versus East versus Central. Racial and gender divisions. Faculty versus students. We believe that Christian Grose can act as a conduit between these and other diverse groups.
For example, he has served Duke students by pushing for a more global curriculum, by representing students on the greek life task force, and by working for improved undergraduate teaching on the board of advisers for the Center for Teaching and Learning.
