Mr. Hull deserves support from all of us, and congratulations upon publication of his book.
My only other thought is that President Brodhead should have spoken out on this matter personally, rather than having his mouthpiece provide quotes.

Really great article on a fascinating topic, I think.
Hull, in the article's extended interview, seems to suggest that the cartoon images he's so righteously publishing constitute another piece of 'reasoned discourse' that those darn Muslims so disrespect. Surely he's _really_ talking about another argument advanced in his 48 page tour de force..?
It all sounds like self-published, self-aggrandizement; let's print these images just 'cause and then blather on about free speech and how 'some people' just can't handle it cause they missed the Enlightenment Bus.
One more thing: "It’s no accident that worldwide terrorism is motivated by fundamentalist Muslims.” Have you ever played the 'Greenwald Flip'? It asks, what motivates acts of violence in the Mideast against the US and Israel? Suppose Iraqis invaded the US on false pretenses, then detained and tortured with impunity. How would you feel against an occupier that appears to have targeted your faith for the last decade? You'd present your cogent arguments in that great Jeffersonian Tradition? Oh.. me too.

Several other powerhouses have supported this positition beyond Hull including FIRE, AAUP, ACLU, Eugene Volokh, etc. protesting the questionable censoring of Klausen's book by the yuppies over at YUP. That this is "self-published/aggrandizement" and goes on about the Iraq War seems to suggest the poster s not entirely familiar with the specific case Hull is referring to: the political correct powers censoring of Klausen's book.
