A car accident caused a car to flip over on campus Sunday afternoon.

A car accident occurred early Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Science Drive and Towerview Road, causing a car to flip over. No injuries were reported.

The car, which was a red Honda CR-V, was traveling down Towerview Road when it collided with a black car turning from Science Drive onto Towerview Road.

"[The red CR-V] came zooming through the red light and just took the front part off our car," said Eryn Dennehy, a passenger in the black car, a Honda. Dennehy and her mother were the only ones in the black car and are not affiliated with Duke.

The driver of the CR-V declined to comment.

Police, emergency medical services and a crowd of onlookers gathered at the scene.

The head officer at the scene said that no official information would be released at this time.
